Accounts Payable & Receivables Officer

Freshmax National are global produce distributors and packers with specialist expertise in the import, export and domestic supply of fresh fruit and vegetables.

We have an exciting opportunity available for an Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer to join the finance team located in Marsden Park NSW on a full time basis. We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic candidate who has a willingness to learn.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your main duties will include but not limited to:

Accounts payable

• Entering and matching of freight invoices for the Valleyfresh and Freshmax Direct businesses (primarily for NSW operations) 
• Entering other overhead invoices for NSW operations
• Monthly reconciliation of major creditor accounts (specifically freight company statements)
• Managing AP shared inbox along with Melbourne Team

 Accounts Receivable

• End of day sales orders / invoices
• Pre-packing
• Ripening
• Shipping 
• Uploading invoices for Coles & Woolworths portals including Freshmax Direct
• Assist Accounts Receivable Officer with other account reconciliations as required

Other

• Assistance with completion of reporting requirements for Freshmax Head Office 
• Ensure the security of financial systems and the integrity of audit trails
• Continual monitoring and upkeep of financial policies and procedures
• Assist with the year end audit process
• Other Ad-hoc duties as directed by Finance Team

Core skills: 

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Excellent communication skills – ability to interact with personnel at all levels

Accurate data entry skills

Deadline focused

Desired Skills:

Experience using Greentree software 

Basic accounting and bookkeeping skills 

Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Accounting
