AddressKCA are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer for our client, a leading gold mining company, based in West Perth.
The Role
- End to end Accounts Payable and to pay within timeframe
- Verifying, preparing and paying invoices; receiving payments, issuing receipts and maintaining records balancing and reconciling supplier statements.
- Follow-up on queries arising from reconciliation work
- Resolving any discrepancies in invoice values or quantities with the site inventory/supply officer/relevant departments;
- Ensuring the correct taxes, if applicable is calculated;
- Create/update new supplier details in Pronto from completed and approved form;
- Performing routine EFT payment runs within approved limits;
- Performing cash flow forecasts as requested by the Finance Manager;
- Monthly reporting to be submitted within expected timeframes;
- Paying vendors by monitoring, verifying, scheduling and resolving purchase order, invoice or payment discrepancies and documentation;
- Accounts reconciliations and processing compliance within expected timeframes;
- Completing payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
- Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in the resources industry.
- Working knowledge of Pronto, INX and the Microsoft Office Suite;
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Works co-operatively with peers and management;
- Possesses a solid work ethic and strong desire to do things safely and efficiently;
- Is professional and confidential at all times;
- Is self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrating initiative to do more than is expected or required in the position.
