In this role, reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide an efficient and timely payroll and accounts service for Surf Life Saving Australia.

Responsibilities:
- Process fortnightly payroll for all SLSA staff
- Calculation and payment of annual leave, termination and workers compensation payments
- Processing increases and calculation of back pay
- Administration, calculation, payment and reconciliation of all superannuation contributions and salary sacrifice deductions
- Liaising with management and staff regarding pay enquiries
- Year-end payroll reconciliation
- Maintaining and updating employee records on the payroll system
- Liaise with HR regarding new hires, terminations, remuneration and conditions of service
- Maintain payroll calendar
- To perform the Accounts Payable function at SLSF including the receipt, examination, approval and processing of suppliers’ invoices and credit note
- Be point of contact for any queries regarding Accounts Payable
- Reconciling and controlling Petty cash process and ensuring their adequate levels of petty cash
- Reconcile and process corporate cards
- Processing and review of expense claim processing. This includes informing Finance Manager of any claims that breach company policy
- To perform the Accounts Receivable function at SLSF including the preparation and processing of sales invoices, receipts and credit notes. Generate & distribute monthly debtor statements
- Reconcile small bank accounts
- Assist Senior Accountant in bank reconciliation of Lottery and Donor accounts
- Preparation of banking
- Coordinate archiving for Finance Department in Brisban
- To support the activities underpinning the Foundation’s Internal Audit framework
- To assist with the preparation of management reports, period-end reports and general agreed projects as directed by SLSF's Finance Manager.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Finance Manager
Qualifications
• 5+ years’ experience working with high volume transaction based Accounting processes (e.g. Accounts Payable & Receivable, Journal Entry, Reconciliation, Payroll, Petty Cash)
Knowledge and experience

• Knowledge of internal customer service techniques and strategies for support departments
