Randstad is currently partnered with a reputable Government department to recruit an Accounts Receivable Officer:
- Job title:Accounts Receivable (Finance)
- Hybrid location: Dandenong
- Contract duration: 6 months
- Rate: $34.79 per hour + super
Reporting to the Coordinator Financial Accounting, the Finance officer-Account receivable will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Coordinator Financial Accounting with maintaining accurate debtor financial data, processing of debtor receipts and timely issuing of debtor invoices ensuring compliance with the relevant Acts, policies, procedures, practices, and systems as they relate to the Accounts Receivable functions.
- Assisting and supporting staff and external agencies in all relevant processes for the recovery of outstanding debtors.
- Contribute to the review and improvement of Accounts Receivable policies, procedures, and operating systems
- Liaising with relevant departments regarding the progress of outstanding debts and ensuring that reporting timeframes are met.
- Ensuring the timely issue of invoices, statements, and reminders to customers.
- Assisting staff with enquiries relating to debtor invoicing and payments.
- Providing all necessary assistance to internal and external auditors to facilitate an efficient audit in accordance with agreed time frames and scope of the audit.
Key Skills Required:
- Certificate III or IV in Accounting related field or equivalent knowledge skills preferably with an Accounts Receivable component
- Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable collection including experience with computer-based debtor systems.
- Experience in property and rating highly desirable
- Background in accounting and finance
- Willingness to obtain a police check
The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in Accounts Receivable component within a government organisation.
