Accounts Receivable / Administration

We are seeking an experienced accounts professional with the flexibility and commitment to be responsible for the accounts payable function with a view to learning and supporting other team members across various functions as required.

The Role:

Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Liaising with Internal and External Stakeholders:

• Collaborate with internal staff and external contractors/suppliers to facilitate seamless communication and information exchange.

2. Purchase Order Management:

• Generate and manage purchase orders to streamline the procurement process.
• Efficiently receive and reconcile goods against purchase orders.

3. Invoice Processing:

• Accurately enter invoices into the accounting system.
• Match invoices to corresponding purchase orders for precise record-keeping.

4. Contract Progress Claims :

• Execute timely and accurate progress claims to customers, ensuring adherence to contract terms.

5. Month-End Tasks:

• Contribute to end-of-month claims, reconciliations, and financial reporting to maintain accurate financial records.

6. Project Involvement and Cost Allocation:

• Actively participate in project-related financial activities, including cost allocation and budget tracking.

7. Deadline Management:

• Effectively manage tasks to meet established deadlines and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance function.

Selection Criteria:

1. Minimum 4 years’ demonstrated experience in a similar role.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.
3. Proven knowledge and experience using Quickbooks or a similar accounting application, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and processes.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal staff, external contractors, and suppliers.
6. Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, and reconciliations.
7. A strong work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
8. Experience in end-of-month entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
9. Willingness to learn and adapt, with a proactive approach to identifying process improvements.
10. Familiarity with project work and cost allocation in an accounting context is a plus
