We currently have an opening for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our busy finance team on a full-time basis.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Financial Controller this hands-on position is responsible for looking after the daily recording of sales and processing payments, working with the internal team to resolve any outstanding invoices while building relationship with stakeholders.
The responsibilities for this role also include:
- Accounts Receivable duties generally
- Sales invoicing (including functions, weddings, daily restaurant takings and concerts)
- Wedding deposits
- Restaurant & Cellar Door reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations and banking
- Proactively following up customer invoices and ensuring outstanding debts are collected promptly and efficiently
- Investigating discrepancies
- Daily data entry
- Hospitality, tourism and concert event administration
- Providing general office support
- Providing timely support to the Accountant and Financial Controller as required
ABOUT YOU
- A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a similar position
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new systems and processes
- Experience with EzyWine would be highly regarded
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Accurate data entry skills
- Time management, multitasking, and prioritisation skills are essential
- A positive & team-orientated attitude
- Hospitality industry experience preferred
- Current Australian Drivers license
- Police Clearance Certificate (issued within the last 6 months)
