Pacific Optics is an award winning and leading supplier of General Merchandise, Phone Accessories and Sunglasses in Australia. We distribute many market leading brands including; Aerial, Black Ice, WalknTalk, and Sin Eyewear, into the Petrol and Convenience, Tourism, Gift and Pharmacy markets. An opportunity is currently available for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to join our team based at the Burleigh Heads (Gold Coast) office. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a rapidly changing environment and be an active contributor to our continuous improvement philosophy.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2+ years’ experience as a Collections/Accounts Receivable Officer working with a large customer base on a daily basis
- Demonstrated ability to obtain results with challenging customers
- Excellent Negotiation and communication skills
- Intermediate Excel skills (essential)
- Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to build solid working relationships
- Excellent telephone manner
- MYOB Advanced experience an advantage
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Accurate preparation, reconciliation and receipting of remittances including application of off invoice rebates and credit card payments
- Make a high volume of successful outbound collection calls
- Manage all allocated accounts in accordance with company credit terms and policies including customer orders on hold and release approvals
- Act as the point of contact/resolution for all external customer enquiries and internal requests for both sales processing and account settlement
- Provide weekly/monthly/ad hoc Accounts Receivable reporting to the management team
- Proactively identify and implement strategies for challenging customer issues such as closed accounts, disputed claims and deliveries, etc
- Provide helpful, highly responsive, efficient customer service to internal and external customers whilst meeting targets for both collections and Debtors days
