Accounts Receivable Officer

Ensure accurate and up-to-date debtor files, promptly address sales team requests, and follow up on all claims with client contacts. Timely completion of processes and escalation of overdue collections. Maintain positive stakeholder feedback and promptly process account applications. Complete tasks accurately and on time, including distributing reports as per company policy.

The Client specializes in providing high-quality equipment and services for the film and television industry. They offer a wide range of products, including cameras, lenses, and accessories, as well as support services such as equipment rental and technical support.

Description

• Allocate receipts daily and investigate all payments received by various methods.
• Resolve disputed credit claims promptly.
• Ensure invoices are checked, emailed, and files are accurate and up-to-date.
• Monitor and collect overdue accounts, escalating if not resolved within agreed timeframes.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and regular communication with the sales team.
• Process account applications promptly, ensuring all necessary information is provided.
• Complete month-end processes for debtors, including producing reports and maintaining sub-ledgers.
• Provide monthly reports on collection status and bad debt provision, distributed accurately and on time.

• A good team player, proactive and helpful, takes on new and varied tasks willingly
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional telephone manner, the ability to build and maintain relationships
• Good attention to detail, emphasis on accuracy
• Highly organized and good time management skills, the ability to work and maintain effectiveness within tight deadlines and multiple priorities
• A minimum of 2 years of Accounts Receivable or credit control experience
• Good computer skills including intermediate level Excel skills; experience with Great Plains is highly desirable
