The Company
Our client is a leading shipping and logistics company. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis for 8-10 weeks.
As a vital member of the finance department, you'll be responsible for managing Accounts Receivable, ensuring smooth cash flow, and maintaining strong client relationships.
The Role
- Oversee all aspects of Accounts Receivable procedures, including precise and timely invoicing, payment allocations, and cash applications.
- Execute credit control activities, actively monitoring outstanding balances, and implementing measures to minimise bad debt.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to swiftly resolve customer queries, disputes, and billing discrepancies.
- Maintain precise and current records of financial transactions, ensuring data security and confidentiality.
- Generate regular reports and analyses on Accounts Receivable status, identifying trends, and suggesting enhancement strategies.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably within relevant industries.
- Solid background in credit control, with a knack for devising effective collection strategies.
- Preferred experience using the accounting software; SAGE as well as Microsoft Excel for financial data management and report generation.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisational prowess, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for fostering rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on continual process enhancement.
- A positive demeanor, adaptability, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic work setting.
