THE OPPORTUNITYACCO Brands Australia has a current career opportunity to join our Finance team as an Accounts Receivables Officer in our Kings Park, Head Office location. You will be reporting into our Accounts Receivables Supervisor. This is a maternity leave cover, and the contract is expected to conclude in Feb 2025.
This key role forms a part of our accounts receivable team. You will provide comprehensive credit and collection services in line with our Accounts Receivables and financial policies and procedures. You will have daily interactions with internal and external stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.
As a key member of our Finance team, you must have the ability to work under minimal supervision, respond quickly and professionally to new and changing situations. Additionally, you should have experience with complex accounts and demonstrate comprehensive reconciliation capability which includes claims and rebates plus prioritising, multitasking and taking the initiative skills in a fast-moving environment.
You would be required to do the following, but not limited to:
Collect receivables in the assigned ledger in accordance with the agreed trading terms of the customer.
- Ensure all accounts are reconciled and notes recorded on SAP on claims and missed invoice payments.
- Check new applications for credit for their credit worthiness, obtain Veda reports and authorisation for opening the account.
- Provide relevant debtor reports, as required.
- Resolve customer issues promptly with constant follow up on claims and overdue invoices
- Strong regular communications with sales staff and customers
- Current Credit Legislation and company credit policy are being observed and adhered to.
This role is a hybrid work arrangement, covering 3 days in office and 2 days from home once 3 months have passed.
ABOUT YOU- Bachelor's degree (desirable) or equivalent.
- An understanding of SAP ERP
- Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office Suite skills
- Analytical with keen attention to detail
- you need to have a ‘can-do’ attitude, strong interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable working independently.
