You will work with the residents to ensure focused activities and well-being programs are available that suit their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a monthly calendar of activities, events, and outings that cater to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Organise and lead group and individual activities, including arts and crafts, games, fitness programs, cultural events, and social gatherings.
- Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities, fostering a sense of community and well-being.
- Collaborate with other staff members, volunteers, and external partners to enhance activity offerings.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity outcomes.
- Previous experience in a similar role, within aged care, or community setting.
- Experience with working in the indigenous communities desired.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and conducting a variety of activities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents.
