Australian Childcare Alliance Qld are looking for an additional Administration Assistant to join our small office team. This is a newly created role, where you will be supporting the Office Manager and other team members to support our Members and the early learning sector in Queensland.

The position
This position provides support on a wide variety of tasks and projects, working in partnership with the Office Manager and other key staff. This position has a strong focus on supporting:
- the needs of ACA Qld members
- the operation of the ACA Qld office and Management Committee
This position is located at our office at Underwood, there is no working from home component to this role.
Key responsibilities
Provide administrative and overflow reception support to ensure that ACA Qld's operations are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.
Administration duties:-
- Maintaining membership database
- Liaise with members, prospective members, sponsors and support partners
- Organising member events (promotion, venue, catering, and registrations)
- Maintaining and updating registers of support
- Travel arrangements including accommodation and airfares
- Website maintenance and updates (content)
- Purchasing and maintaining stock levels of office supplies, stationery and amenities
- Light housekeeping duties
- Collect and maintain inventory of office equipment
- Support staff in assigned project‐based work
- Assist in special events, such as annual National Conference and AGM
- Data entry/filing/scanning
- General administrative duties
- Other administrative duties of the Management Committee, CEO or Manager/s as required.
This position also provides support to Management Committee to ensure it is provided with the resources to make effective decisions, including scheduling of Committee meetings and the preparation of agendas and collation of papers for Committee meetings.

- Ability to manage changing priorities
- Superior time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
- High written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail, including legible handwriting
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to solve problems and be resourceful, using initiative
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Proficient in database maintenance, manipulation, and broadcast communications
- Proficient in O365 suite including SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
(Intermediate knowledge of Excel is essential, advanced knowledge desirable.) - Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally
- Drivers Licence
Desirable
- Knowledge of the early childhood education and care sector
- Demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement which results in positive change/s in the workplace and service delivery
- Highly developed teamwork skills
- Joomla, WordPress or similar website management experience
