Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg is hiring a casual Administration Assistant (Level 3) to join the team.
The core function of the role is to provide administration support and co-ordination proactively and autonomously in the delivery of excellent health care services in our Medical Suites.
This role will be responsible for supporting the management of resources to meet business needs and growth.
Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg has been caring for the people of Bundaberg and surrounds since 1946. Our 59-bed facility is dedicated to supporting our community to live happy and healthy lives. The hospital is equipped with four operating theatres, a day surgery unit and offers a full complement of medical specialist services.
Salary range: $35.45 - $39.62 per hour (MCAS L3) plus super, plus 25% casual loading, plus access to generous salary packaging
What you'll be doing
The Administration Support Officer shall undertake a range or combination of administrative activities and operations requiring the application of skills and experience with general knowledge of the work to be performed as a member of the central Administration team of the Hospital.
- Undertake all assigned duties, tasks and activities within scope of personal expertise and in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and verbal or written work instructions of the Hospital and/or Mater
- Maintain contemporary knowledge of best practice initiatives and processes associated with assigned duties and tasks
- Manage time effectively to meet task associated deadlines whilst ensuring that those associated with the patient care experience take priority
- Identify efficiency and improvement opportunities and/or participate in any resulting change or implementation processes
- Undertake any necessary training or development opportunities that fosters workforce flexibility through skill enhancement
- Advanced medical typing skill are highly desired
- Experience in providing administrative support in a medical setting is highly desired
- Certificate III qualifications in a related discipline
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proficient in written and interpersonal communication; and
- Digital and computer literacy
