Hawker Freight Management Group (HFMG) specialises in contract logistics, mainly transporting bulk grain, fertilisers, and palletised general goods. Based in Berrigan NSW, HFMG is seeking to expand our team with the addition of an experienced transport Administrative Officer to support the day to day logistical operation of our business.
The preferred and successful candidate will have a dynamic "can do " attitude, work well as part of a team while also taking initiative in unsupervised conditions.
The role will require, but is not limited to the following duties:
- Uphold and lead by the company values
- Data entry & compliance processes
- Creating & Processing Reports
- Driver Delivery Dockets & Timesheets
- Processing & Managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts payable
- Preparation of BAS information for our Book Keeper & Accountant
- Ensure company systems are updated and kept with accuracy
- Ensure all instances of service failure or loss or damage to customer goods are actioned accordingly
- Daily scanning, filing, and archiving of relevant documents
- Provide support to any document requests internally and externally
- Respond and assist with any queries relating to responsibilities
- Provide support to reporting manager
- Provide administrative support to operations manager
- Discover operational inefficiencies and report to manager to improve service level
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Ability to build effective relationships, internally and externally
- Ability to deal with customers in a mature & friendly way
- Transport and Logistics background
- Excellent organisational skills and effective communication skills
- Self-managed, motivated, and energetic
- Ability to interact with different levels of management
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
- Computer skills: ability to use the computer for transport related systems and Microsoft applications such as Office 365, Excel & Word
- Ability to be agile and flexible
