Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated Office Administration Assistant to join our team at Boss Global Logistics.

Working weekdays out of our Barney Point Depot, the purpose of this role is to provide high quality logistical and administrative support to assist in the day-to-day provision of the BGL business. Responsible for administration and operational tasks, this role ensures the efficient and prompt completion of all related administrational responsibilities and where necessary operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inbound/Outbound phone calls and emails to be managed in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
  • Track n Trace Investigations and Resolutions
  • Freight Solutions/ Freight Handling (damages/ repacks/ check addresses/ Discrepancy reporting)
  • Front desk customer service for Carded Freight Collections
  • Filing
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner where applicable
  • Inputting data and maintaining reports as required 
  • General Office Duties
  • Assisting the operations team/ drivers with a production of task specific documentation and communication – Pick Ups/ Redirections / Resigns

Our ideal Candidate could have the following knowledge / experience:

  • Results oriented – commits to ensuring goals are achieved
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office programs Excel/Word/Outlook
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess excellent organizational skills
  • A strong work ethic, well mannered, punctual and reliable
  • Demonstrated time management, delegation and prioritising skills
  • Physically fit to handle freight within weight capacity
  • A can do positive attitude
  • Current Drivers Licence and Must have own transport
  • Previous transport and logistics experience is highly advantageous
  • Forklift Ticket is highly advantageous
