Community Corrections is devoted to delivering evidence-informed case management and individualised support to people in the community under a variety of supervision orders imposed by the courts and Parole Board Queensland, with an aim to protect the community and reduce reoffending by providing tailored supervision to meet the individual risks and needs of supervised individuals.
Central Region Community Corrections are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill a permanent Administration Officer role in our Gladstone District Office. The Administration Officer will deliver efficient and effective administrative and clerical support for the District Office and support day to day operations.
To successfully contribute to the effective operation of Gladstone Community Corrections by providing a high level of administrative support, the essential requirements of this role are:
• Able to demonstrate experience working within a legislative framework.
• Able to work self-sufficiently and be confident in your own professional discretion, reasoning, judgement and decision-making skills.
• Communicate professionally and engage with respect with colleagues, offenders, management and stakeholders. Experience in working collaboratively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Proven administrative skills including financial processing and database management.
• Planning and organising abilities to ensure tasks are completed within the required deadlines and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.
• Teamwork skills with the ability to work without supervision and as part of the broader team. In addition, demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute to team results.
• Information technology skills at a competent level with the willingness to learn new IT skills and use internal information management databases.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service.
