Where you'll be working:
This role is based in the Gastroenterology Clinical Service Unit at the John Hunter Hospital. There will be two other Administration Assistants you will work with, as well as Doctors, Nurses, and Allied Health Professionals.
About the role:
- You will predominantly be doing a large amount of clinical typing, phone answering, maintaining digital medical records, and various other administration duties as needed for the department
- You will analyse and coordinate all correspondence for action, utilising appropriate tracking systems deadlines to ensure matters are dealt with in regard to importance, priority, and urgency
- You will have initial training on hospital systems and support in the unit
