The OpportunityThis position will provide administrative, governance and system support as well as customer services to the internal and external customers of the Local Laws and Environmental Health Branch.

To undertake this position, you will have experience in providing administrative support in a customer-focused business environment, displaying a high degree of accuracy, judgement, initiative and confidentiality.
You will have effective written and verbal interpersonal communication skills including the ability to work with internal and external customers.
Further the successful candidate will have a proven ability to work as an effective and positive team member in a customer focused and flexible environment.
The position's focus will be:
- Provide a broad range of complex administrative and support services to the branch and council including accurate and timely records management, routine correspondence, system data entry and maintenance, information systems, request management, prioritisation and dissemination of tasks and processing of applications to support the effective operation of the branch.
- Liaise with internal and external customers as one of the primary points of contact for the administrative functions of the Branch, ensuring queries and issues are escalated appropriately, resolved in a timely manner and customer expectations are managed accordingly.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for information enquiries relevant to the branch, complete routine financial transactions and purchasing functions such as purchasing, reconciling and processing financial transactions and reports and internal/external correspondence in line with Council standards and procedures.
- Carry out specific projects, such as participating in the review, development and improvement of operational systems and practices and provide support, liaison and subject matter expertise to the branch and ICT Services to ensure continuous improvements are successfully implemented.
- Process end to end administration of the annual branch registration and licence renewal programs.
- Collate and analyse data for the branch’s key performance indicators by accessing reports, analytic dashboards and excel spreadsheets so that accurate information is readily available for the Environmental Health Team and management.
- Maintain and update Noosa intranet site for the Branch.
- Maintain business area systems, modules, registers and databases relevant to the business area to ensure accurate information is available.
- Provide administrative support to the Branch Manager and Leadership Team as required.
- Particulate in the branch’s disaster management preparedness, response and recovery activities.
