We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Administration Officerwith strong accounting skills to join our Administration Team. If you are seeking your next challenge in a hands-on and varied role – this position may be for you!
Reporting to the National Administration Manager, you will be responsible for local and national administration duties to support laboratory operations. You will be working closely with internal departments to support the delivery of results to clients in a timely manner, being a primary point of contact for external enquiries and assisting with technical reporting.
Your new role:
- Provide high level customer service to our contractors and other stakeholders by phone, email and face to face.
- Addressing or referring external customer queries to relevant internal departments.
- Conducting data entry of external laboratory results and maintaining accurate database records in the Laboratory Information Management System [LIMS].
- Providing facilities management support and following up on the status of works with internal departments and contractors.
- Undertaking technical reporting for projects for Microbiology Laboratory teams.
- Undertaking reporting for the Department of Agriculture, Water & Environment [DAWE].
- Raising purchase orders, credit notes, picking slips and reconciling invoices for payment.
- Proactively contributing to continuous improvement in the delivery of administration support.
Successful Candidate:
- Minimum 3-4 years experience in working in administration (desirable).
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in accounts administration (desirable).
- Experience using SAP or LIMS (desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a professional telephone manner.
- Strong ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving and finding solutions independently.
- Strong time management and attention to detail skills.
- Strong computer literacy skills (MS office suite, SAP and LIMS).
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
