Position Overview: This is an onsite, part time position (5 hours per day) with the ability to extend hours for the right candidate. We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented person that has good communication skills to liaise with employees and clients. Joining our team would mean you are a part of our family.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of payroll administration, including processing timesheets, calculating wages, deductions, and taxes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records and resolve any payroll-related inquiries or issues.
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, such as recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns, sales tax returns, and other regulatory filings in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development and implementation of administrative and financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including managing office supplies, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including HR and finance, to ensure seamless integration of administrative, payroll, and bookkeeping processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in payroll administration, bookkeeping, and general accounting functions.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, vendors, and clients.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges and learn new skills.
- Prior experience in administration, HR, or customer service is a plus.
