Smilemore Orthodontics - Orthodontic administration/Office Manager
We are an established group orthodontic practice operating from Adelaide CBD for over 40 years. Due to the retirement of one of the founding orthodontists (Dr Stephen Langford), we have an exciting opportunity available to oversee a restructure and expansion.
We are seeking a front-of-house administrator/Office Manager to join our small orthodontic practice in Adelaide with the view to transition and relocate to our brand new state-of-the-art practice in the inner-south. Working alongside the Practice Manager and owner-orthodontist (Dr Benlee Yap) initially, you will be involved in reception duties and administration of the practice/s in addition to patient coordination of two remote offices (Willunga and Jamestown). Contribution to practice growth and ongoing development of systems and processes for smooth operations is a must.
We have a small team of orthodontists, hygienists, orthodontic clinical and laboratory assistants and receptionists that work to ensure that quality patient care is at the forefront of the business.
Duties may include, but not limited to
- Presentation of orthodontic treatment plans and patient coordination throughout treatment
- Knowledge in acquisition and processing of orthodontic patient photography
- Management in collection of accounts and overdue debts
- Liaising with orthodontic suppliers and laboratories
- Maintenance of plant and equipment
- Knowledge of systems for asset management and inventory and stock control
- Recruitment of reception/clinical staff and induction of new employees as required
- Ongoing monitoring, training and performance management of staff
- Provide ongoing reports to monitor and evaluate all aspects of the practice and implement reform where necessary
- Occasional travel to remote offices at Modbury, Willunga and overnight trips to Jamestown when required.
An achievement or capability in the following areas is preferred
- Broad understanding of the requirements of small business
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication
- Leadership and team-building experience
- Ability to devise and review systems for operational efficiency
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and employment conditions
- Understanding of the practice accreditation process
- Sound knowledge of IT, MS office or G-Suite and bookkeeping/accounting software
- Previous dental/orthodontics exposure, or strong business management experience required.
An immediate start is available initially for 2-3 days a week in Adelaide CBD during restructure with the view to a permanent position following that in our new inner-south office. Salary is negotiable, according to experience.
