PLC Fencing, a 100% Australian-owned company renowned for excellence in the construction industry, is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and skilled Admin Assistant/Bookkeeper to enhance our administrative and financial operations. As part of our team, you will be instrumental in streamlining our administrative processes and financial management to support our projects' success.
Role Overview:
In this multifaceted role, you'll be the backbone of our administrative and financial activities, ensuring smooth operations within our fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include managing bookkeeping tasks, payroll processing, maintaining accurate records, handling invoicing and payments, and supporting the team with general administrative tasks. Additionally, you'll be the friendly face of our office, managing reception duties and providing outstanding service to our clients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping and Financial Management: Utilize Xero for comprehensive financial record-keeping, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and preparing financial reports.
- Administrative Support: Assist in various administrative tasks, including document management, maintaining an organised filing system, and ensuring all operations comply with industry standards.
- Client and Reception Services: Manage front desk operations, greet visitors, answer phone calls, and provide a professional service experience.
- Invoicing and Payments: Efficiently handle invoicing, process payments, and follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure healthy cash flow.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all construction projects, contracts, and financial transactions.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management, ideally within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Xero, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering positive relationships with team members and clients.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in all administrative and financial activities.
