Job description

  • Ongoing Full-Time opportunity with consideration given for part-time work  via negotiation with the manager (minimum 21 hours per week).
  • Location: Our team's central office location is in Parramatta, however we have flexible work agreements in place that allow you to work a combination of your hours from offices across NSW and from home
  • Salary ranges from $70,694 - $76,857, plus superannuation and leave loading.

The Aboriginal Outcomes and Partnerships Directorate (AOPD) values its strong partnership with the NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Inc. and communities, in supporting NSW Public schools to deliver high level, quality teaching to maximise learning outcomes for Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander students.

The work of the AOPD is underpinned by this objective, and provides leadership, strategic advice and direction on all matters relating to Aboriginal education across the NSW Department of Education. The AOPD contributes to national and state policy development for Aboriginal education including language and Culture programs in schools.

About the role

This Administration Support Officer provides Administrative Support to the Aboriginal Education Strategy team. The role involves undertaking general clerical tasks such as photocopying, data entry, collating files, correspondence, and reports, and organising travel arrangements.

Essential requirements of the role

  • A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
