About the role
Ryman Healthcare's beautiful John Flynn Retirement Village in Burwood East (Vic) has an exciting opportunity for a personable and knowledgeable Aged Care Admissions Officer to join our growing team.
This varied role requires extensive experience in Aged Care as you will support potential residents and their families to ensure they are well informed and have a clear understanding regarding financial requirements for Aged Care. You will also support with the completion of financial paperwork, offering ongoing support and resolution to any financial queries and maintaining positive relationships with all residents, relatives, staff and visitors to the village.
This is a Part-time position working Monday to Friday 0900 - 1600.
About you
To be successful in our dynamic and fast paced environment you will:
- Have previous proven experience in Aged Care financials. You'll have to be a whiz at breaking down Aged Care jargon. We are talking about RADs/DAPs etc!
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to juggle conflicting priorities
- Strong empathy with elderly and their families
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Accurate documentation skills with high attention to detail
- Confident computer skills with concise documentation
- Drive and passion to deliver first class support to residents
