About the Role
In this important role you will contribute to the development of national and regional (NSW) community and engagement strategies, plans and programs. These will include, but not limited to, community and stakeholder engagement, community partnerships, employment programs targeting under-represented groups, supplier diversity, inclusion and diversity and employee engagement programs. The role is based in the Hunter Valley.
You will draw on your expert stakeholder engagement and influencing skills in order to collaborate and communicate effectively and provide specialist guidance to the business to achieve implementation and deliver strategic programs and outcomes for Thiess in the Hunter Valley.
Additionally, you will coordinate and support project teams and site personnel to proactively drive the implementation and manage the ongoing performance of community, stakeholder, and communication processes, plans and programs.
This role supports the delivery of these functions by:
- developing and implementing regional specific strategies, plans and procedures
- developing management and operational plans and content for inclusion in tenders
- managing key stakeholder relationships; and
- supporting and/or implementing programs.
About You
- Demonstrated experience gained in social performance, engagement or communication related roles with operational exposure.
- Exposure to the mining, construction, and /or engineering industries desirable.
- Ability to clearly articulate a strategic direction and plan.
- Previous experience in Human Resources, Stakeholder Engagement,
- Sound research and reporting skills
- Excellent communication skills
