About the position
Due to continued growth ARAS is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Advocate for a role in the Aged Care sector (full-time or part-time) based in our Nuriootpa office.
Ideally successful candidates will have an interest and experience in Aged Care, aged rights, human services, and or social justice. Previous experience in an advocate/ client centred role will be highly regarded.
Applicants will be based at our Dulwich office for up to six weeks for induction and training, after which they will be based at our Nuriootpa office
About the Organisation
ARAS is the South Australian component of the National Aged Care Advocacy Program and is funded by the Australian Department of Health and provides advocacy and related services across South Australia.

Specific employment requirements
- A bachelor degree qualification in a humanitarian/ social science or similar discipline.
- National Police Clearance and working with Vulnerable Persons clearance (less than 12 months old).
- Up to date COVID-19 vaccination and current season Influenza vaccination is mandatory.
- Current driving license and willingness to drive for work purposes.
