Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily aircraft ground handling operations, including but not limited to ramp and check-in functions;
- Ensure the airport’s ongoing operational compliance with relevant company, airline and CASA regulatory requirement, standards and practices;
- Undertake maintenance and cleaning of the Aerodrome ensuring that it is operated and maintained to the highest levels expected of the facility
- Display high levels of customer service when dealing with travelling passengers for all daily scheduled aircraft movements;
- Apply technical expertise in line with Airport Reporting Officer/Works Safety Officer duties as prescribed in CASA MOS 139 – Aerodromes, Chapter 10 and the Aerodrome Manual. (Daily Aerodrome serviceability checks, fuel quality checks, bird and wildlife observations, write and uphold method of works plans as well as any other task reasonably necessary with qualification)
- Undertake various tasks outside of aerodrome operations during downtime and on Sat/Sun when flights permit
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualifications and experience with Aerodrome Reporting Officer duties in line with industry standards with suitable industry experience in a similar role.
- Current experience in aircraft ground handling of F100, B712, A320 and B738 aircraft.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve a high level of customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative, be self-directed and work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to undertake a detailed cleaning regime to a very high and auditable standard on all buildings and facilities at the aerodrome.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with our residents, contractor groups and management team and operate plant and equipment as deemed necessary and within qualifications
