Afternoon Shift Warehouse Manager

Chandler Macleod are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Afternoon Shift Warehouse Manager located in Melbourne’s Northern suburbs.
The right candidate will be responsible for the successful outcomes of the warehousing and inventory management system and will ensure timely and accurate organization of stock and transport, maintenance of booking orders and internal control procedures, whilst providing both guidance and support to their team.
The primary functions of this role, including but are not limited to;
1. Warehouse, Logistics and Inventory : Manage stock control, monitor stock levels, confirm orders, retrieval and timely delivery of goods (loading and transferring), Assisting the Warehouse Manager with the Planning, organizing and controlling of the warehouse operations and Ensure warehouse is presentable at all times
2. Quality Assurance : Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are being met and report any areas of concerns to the OH&S Manager, Ensure all areas of QA are met and appropriate documentation is supplied.
3 Stakeholder Management: Ensure effective communication with all internal staff by business relationships and actively providing support and guidance. Maintain and develop professional relationships with all external stakeholders/suppliers/customer
4. Learning & Development: Train, develop and coach both new and existing staff , Promote team culture and constantly motivate staff to strive for an efficient and effective warehouse management
5 Process Improvement- Keep abreast of warehousing and inventory management industry trends and make recommendations as necessaryYour required competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Experience)· Previous experience in a similar role/capacity. Red Meat and poultry warehousing would be ideal but not necessary.
· Solid computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of Products (predominantly excel) · Strong planning, coordinating and organizational skills
· Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately
· Hands-on approach with a high attention to detail
.Forklift license and experience is essential.
· Works well independently with minimum supervision and is also a team playerSalary on offer for this role is 100k + superannuation.
Hours from 2.00pm to 10.00pm and as required
