As an Aged Care Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to the residents of the Aged Care facility. You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day care duties and fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for the residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personalised care and support to residents in accordance with their individual needs and care plans.
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal assistance.
- Engaging residents in social activities and recreational programs to promote overall well-being and quality of life.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents, their families and loved ones, and fellow staff members.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support services.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions.
- Certificate III in Aged Care.
- First Aid Certificate.
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check.
- Current Police Check.
- Certification in Disability (preferred, but not required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in caring for the elderly.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and nights.
