One of the largest firming organization in South Australia islooking for an experienced, skilled Welder First Class to jointheir successful team in Virginia South Australia.
The role will include assisting the workshopwith metal fabrication repairs.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Welder (First Class) is responsible for manufacture andrepair work on metal products and structures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing andrepair requirements are met in accordance with maintenanceschedules
- Performing repairs and replace defective worn or metal parts
- Study blueprints/drawings and specifications for each job
- Dismantling and removing components, and checking parts
- Fabricates and repairs metal products using a variety ofspecialist welding techniques
- Select, cut, clean and prepare metal for fabrication
- Mark out metal sections and cut using appropriate tooling
- Align joins, join metal sections using precision weldingtechniques, bolting and riveting
- Examine welds for precision, and clean, polish, file and acidbathing for finish
- Smooth and grind welds as appropriate
Qualifications required:
- Experience within a similar role
- Qualified mechanic (AQF certificate III or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of fulltime experience
- Have a good eye for detail
- Must have intermediate or above computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to comply with all OHS policies andprocedures.
- Be motivated and able to achieve targets
An attractive remuneration will be based uponapplicant's experience.
This is offered at basic salary of between $ 60,000 - $75,000 p.a + Superannuation
