About the role
The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) is responsible for carrying out Allied Health therapies under the direction of the Allied Health Professionals (AHP). The role is working with patients and community clients across the organization and may include: Connolly rehabilitation unit, Geroe Unit, the TCP program, the ‘Better at Homes' portfolio of programs, residential care, and the Health Independence Programs.
The AHA will work as part of a dynamic multidiscipline team to deliver therapy as prescribed by the relevant health professional.
The AHA supports activities of daily living, including both group work and one on one therapeutic interventions, and other activities and recreationally focused programs as required to provide client centered care.
About you
- Certificate IV Allied Health Assistance or equivalent
- Current Drivers Licence
- Experience working in rehabilitation and community settings
This position is classified as a IN30 under the Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise agreement 2021-2026
The salary is $32.62 p/h + casual loading + superannuation + generous salary packaging options
