Allied Health Assistant position at NeuroRehab

We're looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our Hobart team as an Allied Health Assistant. In this role, you will work with a team of experienced Allied Health professionals to provide individualised support to clients both within the clinic/office and the community.
As the position often requires independent work in clients’ homes, we seek people with experience assisting and who enjoy working with neurodiverse people. Our caseload consists of acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, MS and cerebral palsy/intellectual disability. We do our best to minimise travel distances and schedule clients in Hobart and surrounding areas, and your local area. We are a Child Safe organisation and adhere to Tasmanian Child Safe regulations.
The pay rate for the role is based on the Support Services level 6 award 2020 of $28.53/hr (+25% casual loading for a total of $35.66/hr). The casual role will provide a career-oriented pathway to part-time or full-time permanent hours for those seeking a more permanent work structure. Working days and hours are quite consistent every week due to the requirements of our clients.
Key role responsibilities:
- Assisting clients with exercise programs i.e. hydrotherapy programs and community access visits designed by the treating clinician
- Work with highly experienced clinicians (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology)
- General admin duties
At NeuroRehab Allied Health Network, we have developed a dedicated AHA Career pathway for our Allied Health Assistant team. Our pathway aims to develop clinical skills and leadership capabilities and provides career development as an Allied Health Assistant.

Requirements
- Minimum educational level – Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (ideal but not essential)
- Drivers' licence and own roadworthy vehicle – applicants should have confident driving skills as the position involves travelling to clients around Hobart.
