About the role:
In this role you will assist the Team Leader Allied Health Assistants with the coordination of the Allied Health Assistant Rockhampton Business Unit team to ensure provision of efficient, effective and high-quality patient care.
- Provide a range of treatments for consumers with complex conditions as delegated by the treating Allied Health professional. This may include using decision support tools, clinical pathways and/or consumer-specific guidelines.
- Initiate changes to treatment programs and recommended treatment using results from standardised assessment tools as delegated by the treating Allied Health professional.
- Provide comprehensive education on a defined range of topics to consumers or groups of consumers.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to apply advanced knowledge in Allied Health, such as knowledge of the healthcare system, advanced computer literacy, medical terminology, general medical conditions and basic anatomy.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, including the need to communicate, supervise and liaise effectively, with an understanding of the scope of practice in a complex and demanding work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate quality improvement activities under the guidance of an Allied Health Professional.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a defined range of assessments and treatments for patients with complex conditions under supervision from an Allied Health Professional.
Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $90,110 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary between $73,861 - $78,977 p.a.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
