Line 2 Retail Banking Services (RBS) Operational Risk team is responsible for the Operational Risk management frameworks for RBS and Bankwest. In delivering these services we support RBS in achieving its strategic goals while sustainably operating within Risk Appetite.
Do work that matters:
We ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality across the RBS function, by providing advice and services relating to, Risk Governance , Risk Appetite , Assurance Programs and Regulatory developments. This includes independent Line 2 assurance, advice, insights to identify and develop best practice policies, systems and processes to manage and minimise risk.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
You will be investigating business problems identifying root cause, potential solutions, data requirements and expected customer outcomes.
Assist in development of risk reporting, analysis and use tools.
Interpreting the findings of your analysis and communicating this to management and stakeholders.
Assist in assurance and monitoring activities.
Support in the provision of advice to guide the business in the implementation of change initiatives.
Assist management in the implementation and communication of risk management projects.
Work productively together with your team to meet deadlines.

Are inquisitive and passionate about using Data to identify any emerging trends or issues.
Are interested in risk management and willing to learn.
Experience or willingness to learn Excel, SQL and Tableau.
Can collaborate with other colleagues, management and stakeholders.
Can think creatively, handle change and deadlines.
Graduate with 1-2 years’ experience with a relevant degree such as Commerce, Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting or Economics (or similar qualification).
