About the role:
The ANZ Warehouse and Distribution Manager is a newly created role within the RWC group. This role will be focused on leading and managing our warehousing, storage and distribution functions across our warehouses, whilst ensuring a strict focus on Occupational Health & Safety and compliance at all times.
Reporting to the APAC Operations Director, the ANZ Warehouse and Distribution Manager has financial accountability for warehouse, storage and distribution costs across all ANZ sites and leads a team of approximately 100 staff through 9 direct reports.
What you will need to do:
- Working closely with the Safety team, create, champion, monitor and manage the safety culture across all sites;
- Ensure health and safety issues are identified, addressed and monitored;
- Ensure compliance with all safety programs across the Warehousing & Distribution teams;
- Manage and maintain the quality and quantity of products stored at all sites;
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management Systems;
- Achieve targets to customer service levels;
- Manage the daily operations of warehouse teams, providing leadership and guidance to ensure delegated tasks are performed in a timely, efficient and knowledgeable manner;
- Responsible for the efficient movement of goods through the warehouse from receiving to despatch;
- Manages and assesses performance of logistics suppliers and distributors;
- Leads, manages and motivates a team of permanent and casual staff;
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives in warehouses, storage and distribution operations to assist with reducing costs;
- Identifies opportunities, prioritises and delivers continuous productivity gains;
- Financial management of the warehousing, logistics and inventory functions;
- Achieves budgeted labour standards, monitoring staff performance, accurate and timely reports staff labour costs;
- Take the lead in the ongoing development of stock management processes and systems to ensure outcomes and operational performance are continuously improved;
About you:
- Degree in Logistics Management, Engineering, Business Management or a related discipline.
- You will have 10+ years multi-site leadership experience working in Warehouse and Distribution.
- Minimum of 5 years experience using SAP or a similar ERP system;
- You will have led behavioural safety programs and know how to achieve an interdependent safety culture;
- A high level of computer literacy, particularly excel;
- Exceptional problem solving and supervisory skills with a systematic approach, and be solutions orientated;
- A drive for continuous improvement and advancement;
- You are passionate about driving cultural change within large organisations, preferably with DSS+ experience;
- Prioritising and meeting deadlines will be a cinch for you;
- Strong motivation, team building, leadership and interpersonal skills;
- You will enjoy analysing problems and finding solutions to complex issues;
- Be willing to travel interstate and overseas as required.
