AddressA well-respected Queensland Government Department is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer. You will be working for an organisation that has played a significant role in directly impacting the lives of thousands of Queenslanders. You will be reporting to a manager who is knowledgeable, supportive and considerate of their staff. The team environment is friendly, helpful and tightknit. Although this is initially a 12 month temporary position, there is a possibility of the role being extended.
The Position:
As an AO4 Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities.
Some of your key, day to day activities will include:
- Processing of invoices in a high-volume environment
- Undertaking supplier reconciliations
- Responding to and resolving supplier queries
- Liaising with external Project Managers
- Checking purchase orders
Although there will be a handover and you will have the support and training you initially require, ultimately you will need to assume complete responsibility for your role and will need an extremely thorough knowledge of the Accounts Payable process. Experience on SAP preferred but experience on a large ERP system like Oracle, Tech One, or Pronto will also be suitable. To truly thrive in this very busy role, you will need to be self-motivated and results driven. You will need to demonstrate previous Accounts Payable experience working in a similar position, ideally for a larger organisation. Being efficient and possessing strong attention to detail is critical!
