About the Role
This high profile government department is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on society. As a Communications Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic support to technical and professional staff across various communication domains.
What you will do:
- Advising Project Directors on stakeholder communication strategies;
- Crafting comprehensive communication materials for diverse audiences;
- Coordinating Community Engagement for infrastructure projects;
- Planning and executing key communication activities and events;
- Providing training to enhance communication skills for project staff;
- Developing and implementing communication strategies aligned with project goals; and
- Ensuring operational practices comply with policies, legislation, and governance obligations.
What you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Communications or other related degree;
- Proven success in a Communications role (3+ years);
- Ideally have previous Government experience;
- High level relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills;
- Expert in media, crisis, and issues management with accountability for reputation strategies;
- Strong commitment to providing service excellence;
- Self-starter with the ability to work proactively, autonomously and accept responsibility; and
- High level presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong attention to detail.
