Due to an internal movement, we are seeking an Engagement Officer to join our collaborative Communications and Engagement team.
In this role you will produce high quality, professional and effective communications and engagement plans and materials, promoting authentic engagement practices. You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing advice and support on a range of complex and highly visible infrastructure, urban planning, arts, culture and recreation projects. You’ll produce accurate and interesting communications materials and encourage genuine community feedback through a variety of consultation techniques.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have tertiary qualifications in communications or a related field and have a minimum of three years’ experience in community engagement, dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders. Critical to this role will be your highly developed communication skills, with a positive approach to working cooperatively with others and the ability to appreciate competing points of view.
