Your new company
Is a large State Government organisation based south of Brisbane.
Your new role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and undertaking activities supporting industry engagement strategies, including the prioritisation of project activities, the independent completion of tasks assigned and oversight of project resources.
- Building, maintaining and improving industry relationships and networks, internally and externally, to enable implementation of engagement strategies. This may include resolving conflicts through effective communication or opportune escalation.
- Building and maintaining up to date knowledge of legislation and obligations. Apply engagement techniques to communicate effectively relevant policies with the target industry sector using market research and industry feedback.
- Communicating effectively with designated industry groups on behalf of the program area/agency within department guidelines.
- Establishing and promoting events on behalf of the organisation in conjunction with key projects and business needs.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated previous experience in Engagement Officer positions, ideally within a public sector environment
- Experience engaging with and managing a diverse range of stakeholders
- Strong communications experience
- The ability to work outside of standard business house when required
