- Oversee and maintain comprehensive design management documentation.
- Establish standards for documentation quality.
- Prepare and manage the Documentation Programme within the Project Programme.
- Participate in developing methodologies for project delivery, especially in the initial design phase.
- Prepare design inputs for Principal Project Requirements (PPR) and collaborate with the project manager.
- Select and engage the Design Consultant Team.
- Lead consultants to deliver high-quality design documentation on time and within budget.
- Manage design evolution, including consultant inputs, cost plans, and buildability considerations.
- Review project design documentation for compliance with customer briefs, budget, and regulations.
- Maintain design quality control management.
- Provide buildability and value management input during the design and post-design phases.
- Participate in tender evaluation and MMC Design strategy development activities.
- Tertiary degree in architecture, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a client-side or contractor Design Manager.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in architecture, engineering, or a similar field with a strong track record of leading and managing design projects.
- Ability to deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of time, cost, and scope constraints in the design phase and overall project.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to interact with a range of personalities.
- Highly organized and methodical.
