Position Overview: APAC Financial Controller
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join the team as the APAC Financial Controller. In this critical role, you will be at the forefront of financial control and reporting for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, ensuring precision, compliance, and strategic alignment with the company's financial objectives. As the APAC Financial Controller, you will lead a small team of finance professionals, driving excellence in financial reporting, analysis, and internal control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Control and Reporting:
- Oversee the development and implementation of robust financial control processes to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with international accounting standards.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing finance team, focusing on financial control specialists.
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and ensuring the team's ability to meet evolving business needs.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate effective audits and address any findings or recommendations.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights into key performance indicators and trends.
- Collaborate with business partners to interpret financial data and support decision-making processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with global finance teams to streamline reporting processes and ensure consistency in financial practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA/CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Proven experience in a financial control role, with a focus on managing finance teams in the APAC region.
- Strong understanding of international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and optimize financial operations.
