The role:This is an exciting opportunity to join our experienced Technical team. The successful candidate will ensure the development and maintenance of enterprise systems by providing customer focused and high-level specialist advice and support. Key responsibilities include: Provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, within the ITIL framework Ensure end to end service delivery for enterprise systems within Queensland Health by establishing and maintaining highly effective working relationships with other technical specialists, Application Specialists, vendors and end users Provide timely application support activity reports to stakeholders Assist in the ongoing development, maintenance and deployment of application specific guides, work instructions and technical documents. Are you right for this role?To be successful in this role you will demonstrate high level understanding and technical skills in the following: Demonstrated high level understanding and technical skills in the following: Unix/Solaris System Administration including shell/bash scripting Database administration and management Query writing skills in RDBMS and/or NoSQL Scripting and automation Application programming experience / Proc and Databasic Demonstrated ability in developing and promoting ITIL Service Management processes primarily incident / problem / test / change / release and configuration management. Demonstrated high level technical expertise evidenced by the ability to provide professional support, advice and solutions. Demonstrated ability to ensure that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer focused ICT environment.
