Applications Project Manager

Our client is a global leader in environmental solutions, helping set the standard for sustainable development. They pride themselves on their team’s ability to meet challenges facing their clients. At present, they are urgently looking to attract a passionate, driven and highly experienced Applications Project Manager for an initial 6 month contract.

In this position you will be required to manage the IT Applications project delivery, including leading, planning, monitoring, and communicating with project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality while establishing deadlines in delivering technology and business projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate project activities involving cross-functional teams, external resources & vendors
• Develop, maintain & manage a detailed project plan (budgets, schedules, changes, risks & issues)
• Track & communicate the project status, issues and risks
• Create project plans with defined milestones
• Collaborate effectively with the stakeholders in HR, Finance,
• Operations & IT
• Schedule & lead all project-related meetings
• Ensure resources are managed for successful delivery
• Identify and remove roadblocks so that the project team can deliver successfully and on time
• Manage risk, quality, timeline, and budget of the projects being implemented
• Utilise and apply best practices on projects based on experience and in consultation with experts; appropriately tailored for the client and their culture.
• Liaise with management and IT support teams

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Previous proven project delivery experience
• Project Management Certification
• A minimum of 10 years project management experience
• Ability to communicate to technical teams regarding functionality to develop project scopes and deliverables
• Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management and outstanding presentation skills
• Strong planning and organisation skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and be able to prioritize workload and work independently.
• Exposure to an SAP environment is desirable.
• Project Management Certification: PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile or similar Skills and Attributes
