A new opportunity has arisen for an 1st or 2nd year apprentice who is undertaking MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering to join the Queensland Service team, based at our Eagle Farm premises. You will learn and assist with repairs, rebuilds and maintenance of Terex Mineral Processing machines for both the mining and quarrying industries and any other miscellaneous heavy fixed plant equipment, while completing a trade qualification.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Terex Corporation policies, procedures and work instructions, documented quality system and all OH&S procedures and policies.
- Assist and learn about the overall delivery of scheduled servicing, periodic inspections, assembly, breakdowns of plant and equipment.
- By the completion of your apprenticeship, you will be able to carry out mechanical repairs and service works, some basic weld repairs, crusher electrical control systems and perform specific machining tasks where required.
- Maintain effective communications from within the Service Department with all internal and external customers and team members.
- Assist and develop skills around communicating through all relevant documentation.
- Represent the company in a professional manner when performing work on-site for customers.
Experience and Skills
- Committed to completing an apprenticeship.
- Self-motivated and driven to learn.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Believe in providing exceptional customer service.
- Current Driver's License.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
Travel
- Ability to travel to customers sites as required to assist and learn how to carry out offsite repairs as well as provide after-hours service to customers.
