These values and behaviours set the standard for Council and are embodied throughout the organisation.The RoleAs an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter, you will work alongside experienced technicians and engineers to learn the ropes of mechanical fitting and machining. You will be involved in assembling, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting machinery and equipment used within our water and sewerage network infrastructure ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.If you are interested in learning about pumps and making things work, have a knack for problem-solving and a desire to learn hands-on skills that will set you up for a successful career in the mechanical fitting industry, please submit your application. Skills, Experience and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have:• Eligibility to undertake a Mechanical Fitter apprenticeship (eg.
