Alongside your practical duties in maintaining sports fields and green areas, you'll also attend weekly classroom learning sessions. This four-year apprenticeship will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for career advancement. At the end of the program, you'll be prepared to take on roles as a Team Leader or Site Manager, ready to lead with confidence.
Responsibilities- Prepare turf wickets and mark lines on sporting fields.
- Perform garden services including mowing, pruning, and weeding.
- Identify and treat weeds, pests, and diseases.
- Handle chemicals safely and operate horticultural equipment.
- Lead by example and mentor team members.
- Receive above Award rates and access to training.
- Get a $150 safety boot voucher after 3 months.
- Work with new machinery and receive annual salary reviews.
- Engage in social events and thrive in a supportive team.
- No prior experience required
- Valid Drivers' licence
- Valid Working With Vulnerable People Check (or be willing to obtain one)
- Valid White Card (or be willing to obtain one)
