The Transport Manager will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of plant equipment, vehicles and ancillary equipment, as well as personnel administration. Duties:
- Coordinate and control the fleet, non-tech inspections, maintenance and repair/recovery in accordance with Defence policy and procedures.
- Manage personnel administration, staff performance, preparation of administrative documentation and procurement of goods.
- Support range operational activities, the range assets and environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of seasonal range factors.
- Review transport/plant instructions and gather technical data to review documentation.
- Manage preparation of work instructions for equipment through interpretation of technical data.
- Manage competency-based training on vehicles for all staff of range services.
- Manage sub-account, stock-takes, oils, lubricants and simple procurement of goods.
- Monitor the safe and efficient use of plant and equipment, in accordance with WHS requirements.
- Coordinating with Trials Officers, supervise the preparation of the range, including reviewing the task plan, for plant and equipment.
The Transport Manager will be responsible for managing a team of four staff members, and will report to the Range Manager. The team will be comprised of APS staff, but also may include Army reserve members.Our Ideal Candidate
