Aps 5/6 Procurement Officers

The Role
Hudson has partnered with a high-profile government Authority requiring multiple APS 5/6 Procurement Officers to provide specialist procurement and contract management advice to business areas, ensuring adherence to legislative requirements and Commonwealth Procurement Rules. Their role is pivotal in supporting the expanding scope and complexity of our procurement and contract management activities. Successful candidates are required to hold a baseline clearance.
Successful candidates can be based in the following Capital City

• Sydney
• Brisbane
• Adelaide
• Canberra

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement and Contract Management:

• Provide expert advice on procurement strategies and contract management.
• Ensure procurement activities align with organisational goals and comply with relevant legislation and rules.

Supplier Relationship Management:

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Manage contract negotiations and oversee supplier performance.

Process Optimisation and Efficiency:

• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline procurement processes.
• Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement operations.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
• Proactively manage and mitigate procurement-related risks.

Stakeholder Engagement and Support:

• Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to understand and support their procurement needs.
• Act as a liaison between the procurement department and other business areas.
• Work with stakeholders to deliver efficient services.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Formal Qualifications and/or extensive knowledge and experience in procurement and contracting.
• Proven experience in procurement and contract management within Federal Government.
• Familiarity with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and relevant legislation.
• Baseline security clearance

• Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
• Proficiency in Finance Management Information System (FMIS - CI Version)
• Excellent organisational skills.
