The Role
APS6 Facilities Program Officer in Estate Services and Facilities – Air Force (ESF-AF) is a part of a small team responsible for advocating and progressing Air Force’s infrastructure requirements. This is a dynamic role, which requires strategic and nuanced management of a large program of works across a variety of infrastructure types supporting Air Force capability. This role will gain an in depth understanding of Air Force and ADF infrastructure priorities and provide direct input into the program of works to best delivery projects, which support AF capability needs. This position will be responsible for managing an additional APS 5 Program Officer in direct support of this role.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Collection and collation of current airbase infrastructure issues across Australia for consideration across the Estate Works Program.
- Aid in the creation of artefacts for reporting the status of infrastructure and facilities across the Estate Works Program, including Sponsor Funded Works and Estate Appraisal deliverables, with the intent to review and prioritise projects in order to maximise delivery and capability to Air Force.
- Aid in the creation, analysis, and management of Estate Investment Requirements in support of Air Force customer elements, for inclusion in the Estate Works Program or for wider Estate Planning consideration against future Base Redevelopment Planning.
- Liaison with the Air Base stakeholders on behalf of Estate Services Facilities – Air Force in support of the Air Force infrastructure works prioritisation.
- Lead and manage an APS5 Facilities Program Officer to support ESF-AF priorities.

The Estate Services and Facilities team works within Logistics Branch – Air Force. You will work in a mixed ADF and APS team advocating for the priorities for Air Force Headquarters.
