The Directorate of Digital Identity Services (DDIS) brings together key identity management and security principles for Defence.
Digital Identity Services provide a framework of technology encompassing digital certificates, identity, security, access and data management essential to ensuring Defence:
- Identities and resources are appropriately protected
- Users are granted appropriate access to Defence resources.
They are accountable to ensure they have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.
An APS6 ICT Service Manager will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues. They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
About our Team
Enterprise Technology Operations Branch (ETOB) delivers quality Cyberspace Operations (CSO) services to Defence in support of military operations and corporate business. Our purposes and activities centre on supporting CSO operations and maintaining sustainable service levels to provide an effective CSO capability for our customers, with a clear line of sight for Joint Capabilities Group (JCG) and upwards to the Defence Corporate Plan.
We are focused and committed to delivering the best CSO services, some of which include:
- Management of applications across information management, business information systems, security and identity domains
- Management the delivery of Platform Services to Defence and provide governance between the Centralised Processing Project (CP) to deliver software application hosting and data storage services.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in sustaining and enhancing ICT services across JCG by championing a customer-centric approach and a strong focus on stakeholder engagement. Effectiveness in this role necessitates collaborative work under broad guidance alongside other JCG functions and Defence business stakeholders, with a primary goal of delivering business outcomes efficiently and effectively.
This entails the need for well-developed communication and relationship management skills, while having a background in service management, some technical ICT knowledge, and project management/support skills can be advantageous. JCG welcomes applicants who may not possess experience and skills in all of these areas, provided they can demonstrate the potential and capacity to develop them.
